Qualitative approaches
Statistics can give us insight, but we need to hear stories from practitioners and clients to understand the full picture of specialist domestic and family violence service delivery.
As a sector-led program, Safety Measures will connect with people who deliver domestic and family violence services and the people who access them, to learn about their experiences and the structures and processes around them.
We want to build a broad and deep understanding of specialist domestic and family violence service provision, including how much and what kind of support is delivered, and how this support helps people and communities.
We’ll used mixed methodologies, which might include:
Desktop research to understand policy and operating contexts
Consulting, interviewing, and conducting focus groups with service providers, clients, and other groups
Observing specialist service delivery in a range of settings
Developing and testing a framework to measure individual client outcomes.
