Service measurement

Approaches to service system measurement tend to focus on supply and demand. Safety Measures will consider broader and more complex domains, to tell the story of the community’s need for domestic and family violence support and the system’s capacity to meet this.

Mixed approaches

Quantitative

A core part of our work is looking at existing datasets and exploring what they can tell us about service accessibility and effectiveness.

Qualitative

Administrative data can give us insight, but we need to hear from people delivering and accessing services to understand the full picture.

Sense-making

Participatory processes to draw together quantitative and qualitative data analysis, challenge assumptions, share and co-create knowledge and drive transformative change.

The partnership

Safety Measures is by and for the specialist domestic and family violence sector, represented by a partnership between six organisations across the Northern Territory, South Australia and Victoria.
