Safety Measures featured in National Indigenous Times

Coverage of Safety Measures’ launch in the National Indigenous Times highlights the importance of First Nations leadership in the program. Partnership Governance Group member Kalina Morgan-Whyman and Program Director Louise Simms both feature in the article and speak to the need to center First Nations leadership and perspectives in all aspects of our efforts to measure make sense of domestic and family violence service accessibility and effectiveness.

Interviewing Kalina, CEO of Elizabeth Morgan House, NIT emphasised the central role of Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations in the Safety Measures partnership, and spotlighted the work and legacy of Elizabeth Morgan House. Kalina reflected on her hopes for the Safety Measures program:
