New Safety Measures reports
This week we launched two reports synthesising insights emerging from the first stage of the partnership between domestic and family violence peaks and service providers across the Northern Territory, South Australia and Victoria.
The reports consolidate stories and data shared by specialist DFV services in Victoria, South Australia and the Northern Territory, and people who have accessed these services.
Measurement with meaning is about the specialist sector – who we are and what we do, what demand for specialist DFV services looks like, what influences our capacity to meet this demand, and how we describe and measure the impact of our work. This report also includes beautiful and compelling contributions from people with lived experience.
Coming into view looks at specialist DFV service data across jurisdictions for the first time, showing that our services are carrying significant demand, but support is being measured through a homelessness system that often misses the complexity of specialist DFV work.
Together, these reports reveal both what is coming into view through new data analysis, and what remains hidden. Their message is clear: better evidence is essential to building safer, more effective responses for victim survivors.
